Compatible with most major exit devices, the 0162 Surface Mounted Rim Strike has been designed especially to operate with rim exit devices. It is well suited to hollow metal, aluminum and wood door frames. It is also completely surface mounted – so no frame cutting required. The field selectable voltage input – 12 or 24VDC and 12 to 24VAC (even 11 to 16VAC) – means this is the only electric strike for exit devices you will need.

Why choose the 0162 Surface Mounted Strike?

This product is tamper resistant – the horizontal solenoid prevents manipulation from vibration. The installation tool is included (allen key), the 0162 has lock down holes for added stability and there is only one moving part. The 0162 is UL Listed for 1500 lb of static strength and has been factory tested to over 4 million cycles of operation.

The one piece conventional keeper promotes even load distribution in the event of an attempted forced entry. The 0162 heavy duty housing is reinforced to eliminate twisting in the case of imperfect frames. The esthetically pleasing design even takes into consideration personal injury because its smooth radius design reduces chances of catching.
